The pictures to the right demonstrate the light output comparison quality between the DuroLed 8watt LED bulb and a 60watt incandescent light bulb.
As you can see they are very similar in strength, outputting close to the same amount of lumens. In fact the LED bulb actually outperforms the incandescent bulb at its strongest point (directly above the bulb) This is because LED bulbs are mostly directional lights unlike incandescent bulbs which blast light in directions where you most likely don't need it anyway.
The two bottom pictures show the distinct difference between the incandescent bulbs and the LED bulbs. Notice the colour of the standard 60watt incandescent bulb. Its light is very orange or amber in shade, which can give it a very dirty look making it difficult to see objects clearly. While the warm white LED bulb renders a cleaner softer light quality making it easier to define objects.
The 60watt daylight incandescent bulb seems to render a bluer colour light rather than daylight and can give a blue sheen to objects. In comparison the 8watt cool white LED bulb renders a whiter light, you can see this from the white background. The bottom picture is blue and the top picture is white.
In short the explanation for all this is simple. LED light bulbs have a higher light efficiency rating than incandescent bulbs making it easy for them to produce a higher quality of light that renders better to the human eye.

This chart on the left demonstrates the efficiency of the DuroLed 8watt LED bulb compared to a 60watt incandescent bulb and a 13watt compact florescent bulb. As you can see the 8watt LED bulb is much more efficient than the 60watt incandescent bulb and even when compared to a 13watt CFL the LED bulb still wins.
Now, lets look at the total bulb energy and cost savings of the DuroLed LED 8 watt bulb over 10 years.
Incandescent bulb energy used in 10yrs = 1865.90Kw
CFL energy used in 10yrs = 379.60Kw
LED energy used in 10yrs = 251.80Kw
Incandescent bulb cost over 10yrs: 1865.90Kw x $0.10 = $186.59
CFL cost over 10yrs: 379.60Kw x $0.10 = $37.96
LED cost over 10yrs: 230.70Kw x $0.10 = $25.18
You would also have to purchase over 10Yrs

4 CFL bulbs to = 1 LED bulb
This provides further evidence that LED bulbs not only reduce energy consumption but as well replacement cost. By using LED light bulbs we can also diminish recycling cost, potential environmental contamination and avoid personal risk. |
